Le retour des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de l&#039;Ontario dans la salle de classe, avec des mesures de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 appropri\u00e9es en place, pour le reste de cette ann\u00e9e scolaire et pour l&#039;apprentissage d&#039;\u00e9t\u00e9 doit \u00eatre une priorit\u00e9 maintenant. Donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9ouverture des \u00e9coles signifie mettre en place les ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour prot\u00e9ger les salles de classe, y compris les capacit\u00e9s de sant\u00e9 publique pour la recherche des contacts, en conjonction avec les mesures communautaires en cours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous assistons \u00e0 une crise de la sant\u00e9 mentale des enfants avec une augmentation spectaculaire de l&#039;utilisation des services de sant\u00e9 mentale aigus. Les \u00e9coles jouent un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le processus de r\u00e9tablissement. L&#039;\u00e9cole en personne offre aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves la routine et la structure, la responsabilit\u00e9, la socialisation et la reconnaissance des mauvais traitements et de la n\u00e9gligence. Pour de nombreux enfants, l&#039;\u00e9cole est le lieu o\u00f9 ils re\u00e7oivent des services et du soutien pour atteindre les jalons de leur d\u00e9veloppement. La fr\u00e9quentation en personne est li\u00e9e \u00e0 d&#039;importants r\u00e9sultats \u00e0 long terme en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et de bien-\u00eatre et les avantages sont particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9vidents chez ceux qui sont marginalis\u00e9s ou qui ont disparu du syst\u00e8me scolaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec la diminution des hospitalisations li\u00e9es au COVID-19 en Ontario de plus de 50% et avec plus de 50% d&#039;adultes au moins partiellement vaccin\u00e9s, la d\u00e9cision de rouvrir les \u00e9coles en ce moment aura un impact minime, voire nul, sur le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9. Alors que le d\u00e9ploiement de notre vaccin se poursuit, les enseignants, les travailleurs de l&#039;\u00e9ducation, le personnel scolaire et les parents sont tous \u00e9ligibles, ce qui rassure davantage les adultes qui jouent un r\u00f4le essentiel dans notre syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les enfants et les jeunes ont \u00e9norm\u00e9ment souffert au cours de la pand\u00e9mie. Il est temps de donner la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 leur sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 leur bien-\u00eatre. En tant que membres de la communaut\u00e9 m\u00e9dicale et des principaux groupes consultatifs p\u00e9diatriques, nous \u00e9levons nos voix ENSEMBLE et appelons \u00e0 ce qui suit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00e9coles \u00e0 rouvrir imm\u00e9diatement - chaque jour compte<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>cours d&#039;\u00e9t\u00e9 apprendre \u00e0 se produire en personne<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>les \u00e9coles doivent reprendre en septembre avec un horaire de routine - nous avons le temps de planifier<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les avantages de quelques semaines en classe ne peuvent \u00eatre surestim\u00e9s. Nos \u00e9ducateurs de premi\u00e8re ligne sont en mesure de reconna\u00eetre les signes de violence et de soutenir les enfants aux prises avec des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale.
