Children First Canada (CFC) se f\u00e9licite de la reconnaissance de la gravit\u00e9 de la situation et de l&#039;engagement \u00e0 fournir une r\u00e9ponse pangouvernementale \u00e0 la crise. Les PPC encouragent \u00e9galement tous les gouvernements provinciaux et territoriaux \u00e0 travailler en collaboration avec le gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral pour prendre des mesures urgentes pour le bien des enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Command\u00e9 par le gouvernement de l&#039;Alberta, le comit\u00e9 d&#039;examen du bien-\u00eatre des enfants et des jeunes s&#039;efforcera d&#039;\u00e9valuer les effets psychologiques, sociaux, \u00e9ducatifs et physiques sur les enfants. Le panel sera copr\u00e9sid\u00e9 par le d\u00e9put\u00e9 de Calgary-Sud-Est Matt Jones et la ministre des Services \u00e0 l&#039;enfance Rebecca Schulz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout au long de ce processus, les membres du comit\u00e9 entendront divers experts, notamment des \u00e9ducateurs, des professionnels de la sant\u00e9, des parents et des \u00e9tudiants. En se basant sur les preuves pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es, ils d\u00e9termineront la meilleure fa\u00e7on de r\u00e9pondre aux besoins urgents des jeunes - aujourd&#039;hui et demain - et pr\u00e9senteront des recommandations au gouvernement cet automne.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abNous sommes encourag\u00e9s d&#039;apprendre que le gouvernement de l&#039;Alberta \u00e9coutera les jeunes et les experts, envisagera des solutions politiques novatrices et fond\u00e9es sur des donn\u00e9es probantes et prendra des mesures pour faire face aux implications \u00e0 court, moyen et long terme\u00bb, d\u00e9clare Sara Austin, fondateur et PDG de Children First Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partout au Canada, le COVID-19 a eu des effets d\u00e9vastateurs sur la sant\u00e9 mentale et physique des enfants. Les fermetures d&#039;\u00e9coles, le manque d&#039;acc\u00e8s aux programmes sportifs et r\u00e9cr\u00e9atifs et l&#039;isolement social ont eu des effets d\u00e9vastateurs sur la sant\u00e9 mentale et physique des enfants. L&#039;urgence de soutenir les enfants et les jeunes n&#039;a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi grande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les preuves sont accablantes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Les admissions pour troubles li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#039;usage de substances ont tripl\u00e9 depuis l&#039;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. (Sant\u00e9 pour enfants Canada)<br><\/li><li>Chez les enfants et les jeunes, les admissions pour tentative de suicide ont doubl\u00e9 en moyenne pendant la pand\u00e9mie. (Sant\u00e9 pour enfants Canada)<br><\/li><li>70% d&#039;enfants disent que la pand\u00e9mie a nui \u00e0 leur sant\u00e9 mentale (Fondations des h\u00f4pitaux pour enfants du Canada)<br><\/li><li>Le Hospital for Sick Children signale une augmentation de 25% des visites \u00e0 l&#039;urgence pour des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale pendant la pand\u00e9mie.<br><\/li><li>Les taux de maltraitance des enfants ont fortement augment\u00e9, avec une augmentation de 100% des cas de nourrissons pr\u00e9sentant des fractures et des traumatismes cr\u00e2niens depuis septembre 2020 (CHEO).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Children First Canada et ses partenaires ont r\u00e9cemment lanc\u00e9 une campagne pour appeler \u00e0 une intervention d&#039;urgence et d\u00e9clarer #codePINK (un terme utilis\u00e9 pour les urgences p\u00e9diatriques) \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re de la crise \u00e0 laquelle font face les enfants. Ensemble, ils r\u00e9clament une r\u00e9union urgente des premiers ministres du Canada pour prendre des mesures pour faire face \u00e0 la crise \u00e0 laquelle font face les enfants et s&#039;assurer qu&#039;ils re\u00e7oivent un soutien imm\u00e9diat et soutenu pour assurer leur sant\u00e9 mentale et physique.
