A RELENTLESS VOICE FOR JUSTICE AND INDIGENOUS CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
Dr. Cindy Blackstock is a Canadian Gitxsan activist and passionate advocate for the rights of Indigenous children. As Executive Director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society, she has worked tirelessly to challenge systemic inequalities and ensure Indigenous children have the same opportunities as others. Through her “Bear Witness” campaign and other initiatives, she has inspired a generation to build a future where First Nations kids don’t have to recover from their childhoods and non-Indigenous kids don’t have to say they’re sorry. Her leadership in the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal case has been key in holding the government accountable and advancing justice. Cindy’s work continues to drive lasting reform and inspire action for all children.
