At 17, Sheila had the opportunity to travel to Parliament Hill and advocate for healthy, nutritious food and protection from violence - issues affecting children and youth across Canada. Small in Age. Powerful in Voice.
At just 10 years old, Roman Wolfli stood alongside Children First Canada founder Sara Austin on Parliament Hill to advocate for children's rights. During a meeting in the Prime Minister's Office, Roman passionately challenged the idea that young people should have to wait until adulthood to have their voices heard. His words helped inspire the launch of CFC's Youth Advisory Council and Young Canadians' Parliament. Roman's story captures something at the heart of Children First Canada's mission: children are experts in their own lives, and their perspectives belong in the conversations shaping their future.
