A TRAILBLAZER FOR GENDER EQUALITY AND CHILDREN’S RIGHTS
Rona Ambrose has been a tireless advocate for children’s rights and a role model for young Canadians. As Executive Chairwoman at TD Securities and Chair of Plan Canada, she helped establish the International Day of the Girl Child and has led efforts to advance the rights of children especially girls. Her commitment to gender equality is reflected in her leadership and TD’s support of Children First Canada. This partnership has driven key initiatives like the Canadian Children’s Charter, the Raising Canada report, and the Being, Belonging, Becoming program, empowering youth and improving children’s lives.
