Santiago Proteau Sanchez is a young, passionate about the world of finance and politics who is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Ottawa. He’s also passionate about creating different opportunities for young people to have their voices heard in Québec.
As the founder and president of the Association des Présidences des Écoles du Québec (APEQ), an association uniting secondary school presidents throughout the province, Santiago enjoys leading projects with his team that enable secondary school students to share their ideas and participate in important conversations that matter to them.
Santiago formally studied at the Collège de Lévis. He also spent six months studying in Germany as an exchange student, an experience that taught him to adapt and embrace new perspectives. He also works at Desjardins Trust this summer, developing his skills in finance and gaining experience in real-life problem-solving, collaboration, and analysis.
Curious and driven, Santiago loves to learn and explore further into the world of finance and politics, and hopefully hopes to work in those fields later on.
