Angelika Bell

Angelika Bell is an incoming Gordon-Zeto International Scholar at the illustrious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is pursuing her bachelor’s in Political Science and Management & Organizational Studies on the Pre-Law track on a full-ride scholarship. A passionate leader championing equity, financial literacy, and educational advocacy for Black and underserved communities, her leadership extends from school boards to the national stage, impacting countless Canadian youth. Twice democratically elected as Student Trustee for the Toronto District School Board, she represented over 235,000 students, bridging the gap between youth, educators, and board leadership. In this role, she successfully lobbied for a $2.1 million increase in Toronto’s youth budget, advanced board-wide motions to expand equitable youth leadership access, and championed menstrual equity through provincial initiative providing 23 million free menstrual products across Ontario’s K-12 schools, reflecting her deep commitment to public education. Beyond policy, Angelika balanced academics and athletics, lacing up her cleats for varsity soccer before joining research calls with PhD candidate s at the University of Toronto’s OISE, where she contributed to advancing urban education reform. Currently, as National Director with ICON Talent Partners, she connects underrepresented young talent with corporations such as Fasken, KPMG, and L’Oréal, while her leadership with Target Alpha and FBLA Canada has strengthened financial literacy and business skills for thousands of youth nationwide. An award-winning advocate in business, philosophy, and equity leadership, Angelika remains dedicated to driving lasting and positive change in her community and beyond.
