Calgary, November 16, 2021 – Today, nearly 5,000 children and youth from across Canada are joining together for what is expected to be the largest ever National Child Day event in the country.
The first poll of Canadian children since returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic reveals that a large number (44%) of kids are not aware they have rights. An even larger number (73%) don’t know what to do if their rights are violated.
Have you heard of National Child Day? No? Well, it may surprise you to learn that it's over twenty years old.
